This beautiful piece is based on the Amaranta Cape from Spring/Summer 2008. It's a fine example of my seamless construction techniques: constructed entirely on the machine, with no seams to interrupt the curving folds of the fabric.
The sweet, delicate shape is created from naturally coloured cashmere, sourced from the only herd of cashmere goats in Britain and processed in Bradford by the last specialist cashmere processor in the UK. This wonderful yarn offers an ethical, local alternative to mass-produced high street cashmere, which has been linked to an array of environmental problems.
It is unbelievably soft and deliciously tactile, guaranteed to become a treasured family heirloom.
This piece can be made in your desired size, colour and yarn. The original was 100% UK-grown cashmere, in a natural undyed faun colour. It could be commissioned in the same yarn, or reinvented. Tell me your ideas when you enquire!
