In 2007 I developed the concept for Riot & Return, a childrenswear library offering handmade pieces by subscription.
For various reasons the project never made it far from the back of an envelope, but in 2015, expecting my first child, I decided to reinvigorate the idea.
The underpinning principles are broadly similar, but the rules of the game have changed. Rather than creating a new library of items, Riot & Return is now about my husband Simon and I exploring the ‘fashion commons’ of the big wide world to borrow things (clothes and other accoutrements) for our baby.
